Police Fix Date for Constable Recruitment Screening in Gombe

The Nigeria Police Force in Gombe State has announced the schedule for the physical and credentials screening of applicants who registered for the ongoing Police Constable Recruitment.

According to a statement issued by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Buhari Abdullahi, the screening exercise will take place at the Gombe State Police Headquarters along Ashaka Road.

The exercise is scheduled to run from March 9 to April 18, 2026, beginning 7:00 a.m. daily.

Applicants from Gombe State who successfully completed their online registration have been advised to log in to the recruitment portal to check their application status and print the required documents ahead of the screening.

The documents include the guarantor’s form, application submission slip, invitation slip, credentials screening form and physical screening form.

Candidates are also expected to present several documents at the venue, including their invitation slip showing the assigned table, the completed credentials screening form, National Identity Number printout or card issued by the National Identity Management Commission, as well as their O’Level certificate, birth certificate or declaration of age, and certificate of local government or state of origin.

For specialist applicants, trade test certificates will also be required.

In addition, applicants must present duly completed guarantor forms signed by referees, alongside photocopies and passport photographs of the referees.

The Command added that candidates should package the original and duplicate copies of their credentials in two separate white flat files, each containing recent passport photographs.

The police also stressed that applicants must be of good character and physically and medically fit, while maintaining discipline throughout the screening process.

The Commissioner of Police in the state, Umar Ahmed Chuso, assured the public that the exercise would be conducted transparently in line with the guidelines of the Police Service Commission.

The Command further warned applicants to beware of fraudsters, stressing that the recruitment screening exercise is completely free of charge and that no payment is required at any stage of the process.
