Hon. Hamma Adama Dattuwa Ali Kumo has continued to attract admiration across Gombe State, with many residents attributing his growing popularity to his commitment to community service, youth empowerment and support for the less privileged.
A resident of Jekadafari area of Gombe, Auwalu Ladan, described Dattuwa Ali Kumo as a leader whose impact extends beyond politics, saying his contributions to the welfare of ordinary people have earned him widespread respect.
According to Ladan, the APC chieftain has become a household name in Gombe, particularly in Akko Local Government Area, where many people see him as a dependable leader who remains connected to the grassroots despite holding important national positions.
Popularly known as “Katukan Doma, Sarkin Tafarkin Akko,” Dattuwa Ali Kumo currently serves as the National Assistant Financial Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Chairman of the Governing Board of the Industrial Training Fund (ITF).
Residents say that despite his responsibilities at the national level, he has maintained close ties with his community and continues to respond to the needs of the people.
“Many leaders become distant after attaining high office, but Dattuwa Ali Kumo has remained accessible. He listens to people and supports them whenever the need arises,” Ladan said.
Political observers in the state believe one of the qualities that distinguishes him is his strong commitment to youth development.
