Pindiga’s Legacy Continues to Shape Gombe Judiciary – NBA

The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Gombe State Branch, has praised former Chief Judge of Gombe State, Justice Mu’azu Abdulkadir Pindiga, for his outstanding contributions to the growth of the judiciary and the administration of justice in the state.

The commendation came during a ceremony attended by legal practitioners, judicial officers and other stakeholders in the justice sector, where participants reflected on Justice Pindiga’s impact on judicial reforms and the strengthening of the rule of law in Gombe.

Speaking at the event, Chairman of the NBA Gombe Branch, Alhassan Mu’azu, described Justice Pindiga as a visionary jurist whose leadership helped deepen public confidence in the judiciary.

According to him, the former chief judge distinguished himself through integrity, professionalism and an unwavering commitment to justice throughout his years on the bench.

“Justice Pindiga laid a solid foundation for the administration of justice in Gombe State. Many of the reforms, standards and best practices introduced during his tenure continue to guide the judiciary today,” he said.

Mu’azu noted that Pindiga’s career remains a source of inspiration to young lawyers and judicial officers, adding that his contributions have left a lasting mark on the state’s legal system.

Responding, Justice Pindiga expressed appreciation to the association for the recognition, stressing the need for judicial officers and legal practitioners to uphold integrity, professionalism and ethical conduct in the discharge of their duties.

He urged members of the legal profession to remain committed to protecting the independence of the judiciary and promoting adherence to the rule of law in order to strengthen public trust in the justice system.

Other speakers at the event described the former chief judge as a seasoned jurist who dedicated his career to the pursuit of justice, noting that his legacy would continue to inspire future generations of legal practitioners and judicial officers.
